MAKE YOUR OWN RUG! FIRST EVER TUFTING STUDIO | Unique Activities in Glasgow, Tufter Studio

Glasgow's first ever tufting studio now offers beginners and crafters to learn new basic skills on how to tuft your own rug!

I have ALWAYS wanted to learn how to tuft my own rug and was SO HAPPY to discover @tufter_studio in Glasgow city centre!

This is the first ever studio where you can learn the art of tufting and how to make your own unique rug! Located in Central Chambers, the owners at Tufter Studio offer fun workshops where they teach you how to use the tufting gun and make gorgeous colourful rugs for your home.

Me and my partner are huge Bob’s Burger fans so we decided to make rugs inspired by characters from the show! Tufting is definitely a craft that takes time, patience and precision. It really takes some getting used to to use the gun and get curves and straight lines right.

Our rugs need A LOT of work BUT for our first time, we LOVE OUR CREATIONS! I’m in love with our fruits of labour despite the wonky curves and disproportionate pupils 😂😂😂 Took us about 3 hours but the time FLEW BY and felt like we were working on it for only 30 minutes!

Would highly recommend if you’re a fan of learning new creative skills. This was so fun and heavily considering going back to make a giant rug, just need to think of a design 👀
