A TRUE HIDDEN GEM SERVING AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD | The Olive Tree, Savoy Centre, Glasgow

There's a hidden gem in Savoy Centre that will definitely surprise you! They serve the best Chinese food that you MUST TRY!

Tucked away in this very central location is The Olive Tree which is a humble, fuss-free Chinese food spot.

I went in for lunch to get a warming soup dish to fight the cold we’ve been experiencing! This spot is super casual and very busy with locals buying both from the English British Chinese takeaway menu and Mandarin menu.

I got myself a bowl of Wantan Noodle Soup which was excellent, especially to combat the cold! Soup was simple with a soy broth and filled with Chinese cabbage and spring onion, noodles were bouncy and light, and wantans were yum (can’t tell what meat it was but ate it all up regardless).

I paid £13 for the noodles and a bottle of iced tea which I think is reasonable but they have cheaper options from the menu for £10 or less, example Mapo Tofu Rice or Braised Beef Brisket with rice which I’m wanting to try next time.
